I love Benedict Cumberbatch he is such an amazing actor and just downright gorgeous! so the moment i saw the reference picture i knew i had to draw him!
As Irene Adler said 'Brainy is the new sexy!'
i am very happy with the way it turned out although there are obvious differences from the reference picture oh well
i'm just glad it looks vaguely like Mr Cumberbatch!
i think this is my favourite portrait i've ever drawn mainly because its Benedict and because unlike all my past drawings the hair didnt completely fail! although i'll let you be the judge of that!
I am confused about who i am going to draw next its either
- the ever lovely and charming Tom Hiddleston
-the lovely Karen Gillian
- a Sherlock screencap, i've found a few that are just waiting to be drawn!
Any suggestion?

Once again, very impressive work from you Lizzi. I think you've done a first rate job on the hair and I love the way you have made the background look out of focus the way you'd expect in a photo.
If I were to critique any part of it it would be the shading of the nose as it looks a little too straight and rigid, also the right shoulder could have benefited by somehow separating it from the figure behind him but this could well be caused by the scanner or camera you used. Both these points are minor nit picking and don't in anyway detract from the lovely image you've produced here.
Sorry it's taken me so long to get round to commenting on this and keep up the great work.
